19 Days - Until the world is a safer place

REMEMBER

They're Watching....

August 31st 2012

Check This Out:

Not My Mother - A Memoir by Ashley Rae
(a fellow author at Pagan Writers Press)

Info:

By the age of twelve, Ashley Rae had survived incest, child abuse, and the deaths of both her biological parents. Born to Baptists but raised by Buddhists, Rae found peace and healing on a Pagan spiritual path while obtaining her college degree and starting the career of her dreams.

Rae thought the hardships in her life were over...until she lost her job, started a new relationship, and found out she was pregnant with another man's child all in the same week. Terrified of cesarean surgery, Rae vowed to give birth to her child at home – but first, she had to find one.

Alternately haunting, humorous, and heart-warming, Not My Mother: A Memoir follows Rae over a nine-month quest to break her family's generational pattern of abuse and victimhood in order to become for her unborn child the mother she had always wanted for herself.

 The Author

Ashley Rae puts on wonderfully awesome weekend retreats at All World Acres in Plant City. She also writes meditations, blogs, articles, and books - AND -  teaches reading comprehension, creative writing, divination, and self-healing techniques.
I forgot to mention - although you've probably noticed from the photo - Ashley reeally loves life too!

Where to Buy

Not My Mother: A Memoir by Ashley Rae is available on Amazon in both print and e-book formats. Print copies are also on sale at Pagan Writers Press for only $11.96.

Thinking Caps On

Between August 17th - 30th I will be running a little competition on this blog.

Many organizations around the world have a motto that exemplifies what they do.
Eg, The Police / Protect - Serve
The Fireservice / Whatever it Takes

So do the Guardians...

What motto do YOU think would be seen beneath this logo?

Start thinking

The first entrant to guess the motto exactly/closest will win a signed print copy of Guardian Angels.
The next closest will win an e-book version.

Offer of Contracts

It is with great pleasure that I can announce some wonderful news.

Only 24 hours after the loss of my former publishing home, I was contacted by a reputable publishing house and offered the opportunity to progress my literary dreams.

Having considered the matter carefully, I am happy to say I accepted that kind offer, and as of this day am contracted to Pagan Writers Press.

As such, I am delighted to announce that Guardian Angels - Book 1 in the Guardian Series will be able to proceed as planned! If there are any adjustments to release schedules, they will be minor.
Additionally, my other major projects have also been saved!

I am very relieved to have been extended such a wonderful offer - and am happy that those who are looking forward to the release of Guardian Angels won't be disappointed.

I also look forward to getting to know my new publishing family better - and working with them in the future.

Everyone - please have an excellent day.

Important Announcement

It is with deep regret that I have to notify you of a change in circumstances.

Sadly, my publishers, Ruby Lioness Press had to close their doors yesterday (August 1st) and will no longer be operating as a publishing house.
The closure was unforseen, and has left 50 fine authors - myself included - without a home.

May I take this opportunity to thank Ruby Lioness Press for their support and encouragement over the time I was with them. I will miss them and the friends I made there.

Obviously, this will have an impact on the impending release of Guardian Angels.

For those of you keenly anticipating its release, may I ask - STAY TUNED.

Although a new author, I have made a number of solid, reliable contacts & friends who are aware of the standard of my work.
As such, I'm pleased to be able to announce that negotions are already underway to find a new home, and ensure the Guardian Angels finds their way to your bookshelves soon.

I look forward to giving you the results of those negotiations as soon as I can.

Thank you
Andrew P Weston
