is coming to your neighborhood... April 6, 2014

Augustus is a cambion, a
legendary being of mythic powers and vast sexual appetites, whose father is
Fanon, an Incubus, but whose mother was human woman in 18th century Britain.
For over two hundred years, Augustus has been tracking his father around the
world -- to kill him. Fanon the Incubus likes blondes, and in modern Los
Angeles blonde women are easy to find. So Augustus' long hunt heats up in
today's world of internet fact-finding and transatlantic travel, where few
know there may be Incubi and Succubi all around them. By turns sensual and
horrific, chilling, and inventive, Andrew P. Weston's first cambion novel
surely heralds more to come from Augusts' fascinating world, overlayed upon
our own with taste and skill. In the very beginning of the story, we're
tracking down this father whom Augustus hates. We read over Augustus'
shoulder as he studies the diary of his mother and learns in her own words
the story of her seduction and Augustus' birth in 1760. The young cambion,
infuriated at how Fanon destroyed his mother's life and soul, lusts not only
for beautiful women, but for vengeance upon his powerful sire. Of course, our
cambion hero too has powers, not only of seduction, but of flight and
invisibility and more. An intriguing premise for a story, and Weston
delivers, conjuring a hidden world that impinges our own history and reality,
employing a narrative that rings eerily true and drives this story home with
hypnotic force. Rage of Augustus is a book for mature readers with a taste
for intense content, sometimes violent, and with an inherently sexual theme.
That said, this a wonderful story that fulfills its promises, concludes in
grand fashion, yet leaves you wanting more.

This book is engaging from the start.
Augustus' character is intriguing and more complex than the initial chapters
suggest. The plot is believable and interesting. The whole book is a roller
coaster of emotions! Without giving any clues away, the ending will bring
tears!!

Augustus Thorne is a real ladies man-
his intense love making leaves women in a state of unconsciousness . He often
offers them limitless spending accounts on his credit cards, fills closets
with designer clothes and shoes. One problem only- he is a hybrid demon.
Yeah, you heard right. Now hold on, this handsome hunk got into this nightmare
two hundred years ago when his mother was ravaged by a famous incubus who
cast his spell upon her and she became impregnated with Augustus. He has one
mission in life and that is to kill his father. He enters a secret dark world
of others who are like his father and travels to distant countries to uncover
clues to his whereabouts, only to find the others also want his father and
him,as he possesses even greater powers than most. He finally gets his chance
for real human love , but this takes him into a more deeper and more
dangerous journey. I loved that this story always had me on edge with
suspense around every corner. You want Augustus to find love and peace in his
dark world.
I couldn't put this one down. It was a mixture of Indian Jones, Twilight, and
True Blood all in one. The sex scenes explode with heated desire. Andrew
Weston knows what his readers want , be it action, paranormal , fantasy and
good romance. Rage of Augustus is not to miss!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!!, 27 Aug 2013

What can I say!!!! First class book,
well written and fast paced. I actually read it in one sitting as I just
couldn't it down!! The storyline made sense and explanations were given at
just the right time. Some books of this genre (and I have read loads!!!) can
tend to meander a bit and include things that aren't relevant but not this
one. There is some satisfaction at the end as it doesn't leave you hanging
too much but I am really looking forward to the next book in the series as I
want to know what happens to a number of the characters, especially Augustus,
so come on Mr Weston, don't leave us waiting too long please!!!

This review is from: Rage of Augustus (Paperback)
OMG - brilliant... I've just finished
the book and now I have to wait to see what happens. I was intrigued from the
start and gripped from the 3rd chapter - couldn't put it down - has
everything - lust ,love lots of action, good vs evil. definitely not for the
younger reader - this would make a brilliant film as the special effects
would be fantastic. Roll on book two, I can't wait...

4.0 out of 5 stars I will never think of demons in the
same light again, 9 Aug 2013

This is a really good story and I
love the fact it shows demons in a different way from the nom.
Its good the way the author tells it from the view of the main character and
and is able to show his anger at what has and is happening to him and the
love character feel's for those close to him.
In all, a really good book
But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of consent :)
